PAPAKURA SPORTS.
The Athletic Club's sports took placa on Saturday, instead of on Easter Monday as in former years. The day turned out very fine, and about five hundred people witnessed a good afternoon's sport. The Oaehunga Brass Band enlivened the proceedings with music. Many improvements have been carried out on the track during the year, making
it second to nons among the country ■ rring tracks. Mr L. J. Mills, the! i secretary, had all arrangements well ! in hard, the various events beinu run off punctually. Messrs Parkineon and Cole gave tvery satisfaction as judges, atid Mr Burbush proved an efficient starter. The proceedings ware brought to a close with a wellattended dance in the evening.
