It was decided to compute the cost of mrtal at lis per yard for Rama Rama road and at 10a per yard for Fitzgerald's road. WATER TROUGH. "The water trough has now been established and 'n filling a muchneeded want," was the brief report of tbe chairman. McCORMICK'S WILLOWS.

The chairman reported that though Mr McCormick's solicitor bad given an undertaking that the willows on Hay's creek should be cleared by the end of February very little had been done, "in fact the whole difficulty still exists." He moved, That the solicitor be written to advising him that the agreement was not beirg carried out, and that the Papakura Town Board be written to stating that the Drury Board considered the und?rtaking was not anything like completed, and if the Papakura Board was of the same opinion would they suegest what steps shouli be taken.—Seconded by Mr Bremner and carried. OPAHEKE STATION ROAD.

"I'm going to give you a month to think over this, gentlemen," satd the chairman, in giving notice of motion that the Board provide pipes and cash not to exceed £5 for work on the road from Opaheke station to the concrete bridge, provided the ratepayers interested would carry out the wo'k. He explained that this road bad never been officially recognised by any local body, but despite this was used by several of their ratepayer?. There were several bad places on the road, and his notice of motion was in the direction of repairing these. He wanted the members lo think over the situation and the ratepayers if they did not approve of the proposal to come forward and object. Mr McNaughton said be would support the expenditure provided the auditor would pass it.

The chairman assured him there would be no trouble over the matter.

Mr McNauehton: Anyway, they are entitled to it.

The chairman pointed out that if the Board sanctioned the expenditure ihey were recognising the road and would be called upon to keep it in yrd-'r. There was a bridge which would shortly require repairing at a cost of between £3O and £4O. He contended that the road was a great advantage to the district. FENCE ACROSS A ROAD.

A boundary road, a feres across it, gorse and blackberries were the chief factors in a puzzle set the Board. Mr Maxwell, who was a ratspayer of the Drury district, had a fence across the road between his property and Mr Hill's which Mr Bremner, who had property on the other side of the road in the Opaheke Road Board, wished removed. Mr Maxwell, it was stated, said ha had not erected the fence and did net mind it being pulled down. Which Board should approach Mr Maxwell caused a little discussion, it being finally decided that Mr Maxwell be written to requesting bim to remove the fence back to the line and clear his half of the road of gorse and blackberries.
