PRODUCE MARKETS. Mr J. Jones, auctioneer, Victoria and Lome streets, Auckland, reports:—Poultry was in heavy supply this week to a gocd market for wellconditioned birds. Thera is a large quantity of th 3 birds in poor con dition, also on the moult, coming in. This class of bird is not in good demand. A very noticeaole thing about the poultry trade this year is the vast quantity of young cockerels that are coming in. No doubt the high cost of grain is causing the farmers to sell. Fruit this week was in better demand and prices were much better than have be=n ruling for soma time. Dessert p;ars are firmer. We quote: Poultry, 1400 penned: Hens, prime Is Hd to 2s 2d; others Is 5d to Is Vd; ducks, la lOd to 2s 8d; roosters, prime 3s 6d to 4s 3d, good 2s 9d to 3s 3d; cockerel?, Is 3d to 2s; luikeys, gobblers lis to 16s, Hens, 5s to 7s; geese, 3s 6d. Pigs, 9s to 14?. Farm produce: Potatoe?, £3 to £3 10s; onions, £7 to £8; pumpkin?, 43 to ss; marrows, Is 3d to 2s dozen; swedes, £1 10s to £2 ton; maize, 4s tu 4s 4d; wheat, 4s 9d; oats, 2s lOd; bran, £4 15s; sharps, £6 15s; barley, 3s 7d; Algerian oats, 3s 7d; chaff, £5 ex s'ore.
