BOMBAY.
THE POST OFFICE. The deputation, tor whom Mr French acted ss spokesman, which waited on the Prime Minister at the instigation of the Bombay branch of the Farmers' Union, was sent away fairly well satisfied. Some time ago, it will be remembered, it was thought that the new post office for Bombay would be erected almost immediately, a aection having been secured. But later on the project was hung up in such a fashion that it was feared the project had been abandoned for the time being. Io reply to the deputation Mr Massey poinetd out that very many demands were being made for new buildings and these could not all be satisfied at once. However, he gave the assurance that tenders for the Bombay building would be invited forthwith, and the people here could look forward to having their office at an early date.
