POST OFFICE OPENING. Word has been received by Mr Tapper, secretary of the Progressive League, saying that Mr Bollard, M.P., cannot yet give a time for the official opening of the new post office, but that it will be at as early a date as possible. Mr Bollard intimated that he was trying to get Right Hon. Mr Massey aad the Hon. Mr Fisher to attend. He hoped to get Mr Massey as the Prime Minister was about to visit his own electorate. SCHOOL PICNIC. The school picnic at Tuakau on Tuesday proved to be a most enjoyable affair, PIGEON SHOOTING. The Gun Club is providing good epott for its members. The match that was shot last Saturday for Mr Booker's trophy was won by Mr Bellingham, off the 12 yards mark. Some sweepstakes were also Bhot off, but the writer has not yst received the results.
