LOYAL PUKEKOKE LODGE.
The Loyal Pukekohe Lodge (Manchester Unity, 1.0.0. F.) elected the following officers at their quarterly meeting on Tuesday for the forthcoming six months:—Grand Master, Bto. A. W. Young; Noble Grand, Bro. J. Hodgson Keith; Vice-Grand, Ere. I. Wilcox; Elective Secretary, Bro. Pratt. The new officers wera duly installed by P.u. Bro. Wilkinson, and the responding addresses were well received.
The Lodge suspended business for a short period as a mark of respect to the late Bro. Charles Dunbar, and the Peirnanerrt Secretary was instructed to convey to Mrs Dunbar their deep sympathy over her bereavement.
A strong committee has been formed to deal, with the local arrangements iti connection with the Premier Picnic, which event promises to overshadow any previous picnic held. Three special trains are to be run from Pukekohe, and a gigantic programme of sports, concerts and other events is being prepared for February 28th. The whole picnic is being run in connection with the Auckland Exhibition, and as this is the 70th anniversary of Manchester Unity New Zealatd Oddfellowship, a big effort is being made to outshine all previous attempts in this direction.
The local officers are to entertain the Lodge members to supper at the close of to-night's meeting and a big muster is' expected.
