TUAKAU.
THAT DANGEROUS CROSSING It has long been recognised alike by residents and the railway authorities that the level crossing at Tuakau is a notoriously dangerous one. Hardly a week passes without either man or beast coming nearly in collision with pa c sing trains. Deputations have waitsd upon the authorities from time to time, and the respective mo: its of au overhead bridge, or the removal of the stationmaster's house and other buildings to give a clear view of the line, have been fredy discussed. I now gather, unofficially of course, that the crossing has again been inspected and that it is probable that buildings will be removed to give a clear view of the line. This, with the approach regraded, should make the crossing reasonably safe. TcNNIS COURTS.
It is probable that the official opening of the now tennis courts will be delayed until Wednesday, December 3rd, in order to give the surface of the courts time to harden. A working bee is being organised for next Wednesday to try and got a pavilion erected on the ground*.
