PAPAKURA.
TENNIS CLUB DANCE.
On Friday evening the Tennis Club held the first of a series of Cinderella dances. Considering the state of the weather the attendance was very good and a verv peasant evening was spent. The refreshments were provided by the lady members. Mrs H. Walters, Miss Walters and Mr Laurence McKinstry provided the music. The proceeds are (o be devoted to the formation of a fourth court necessitated by the large increase in membership. CENTRAL VESTKY. The annual meeting of thu central Vestry cf tnis parish was held on Saturday afternoon, all parts of the parish beng represented Rev. W. C. Wood occupied the chair. Mr J. Batty was appointed vice-presi-dent, Mr D. W. Jones secretary and treasurer, and Mr R, J. Willis auditor. The question cf the appointment of a curate wai discussed at length, and it was finally decided to recommend that such assistance be procured. A satisfactory assessment on the various vestries was arrived at, which will be submi;t:d at the next quarterly meeting.
