BOMBAY.
CONCERT. On New Year's Day ten members of the Roamers' Tennis Club visited Bombay, and a most enjoyable time was spent. Unfortunately, the rain spoilt the matches, but the visitors were entertained in the hall, and in the evening a concert was given. The first part of the programme consisted of a musical play, " Sleeping Beauty," under the direction of Mrs Clarke. It was greatly enjoyed. The children and those taking part acquitted themselves in a splendid manner. The following took the principal parts:—" King," Miss Ivy Flay; "Queen," Miss Nora McCowen; "Prince," Miss Viola Balme; "Princess," Miss Janet Watson; "Page," Miss Ruby Flay; "Maid," Miss Winnie Fitness; " Fairy Bluebell," Miss Jean Clarke ; "Fairy Spiteful," Miss Rita Dean ; " Drummer Boy," Miss Eva Balme. The second half of the programme was contributed by the visitors, and was very much appreciated by the large audience present. " God Save the King" brought a very successful concert to a close. A dance followed, under the direction of Mi A. Cornthwaite. PARISHIONERS' MEETING.
A parishioners' meeting was held in the Anglican Church on Thursday, January 2nd. The Rev. Fisher presided. Mr J. Lowry was elected Churchwarden in place of Mr C. Stevens, who has left the district.
