New Post Office. The secretary of tho Progressive League has had intimation from Mr R P. Bollard that the tenders received for the now po-it office were too high, but fresh plans and specifications were being prepared. Progressive League Meeting The annual meeting of the Tuakau Progressive League was held in the Public Hall on Thursday eveni iug last. There was a good attendi anco of un mbers. The committee's report and bal-ance-sheet was adopted as read. The credit balance of the general account was 10s 9d, and of the ambulance fund, £8 4s 6d. The following officers were elected for' 1912-13:-President, Mr A Madill; vice-presidents, Dr. Cheosnian and Mr 1). Fulton ; committee, Messrs M. Foley, 11. B. Free, J. J. Madill, N. Craig, C. R 8011, W. Barnaby, W. Strahan, F. Johnston, James Pitrett, C. Finch, N. McGuire and officers ex-officio ; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. 11. Tapper. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr Revell for the free use of the hall for the meeting. The new committee will meet at an early date to formulate rules to 1 govern the League's proceedings and submit same to a general meeting of the League for confirmation or otherwise. Votes of thanks were accorded Dr. Cliposman (the retiring president), to Mr A. 11. Tapper for his services as secretary during the past year, and to Mr C. R. Bell for acting as chairman at the public meeting lately called by the League. Bazaar and Art Union. In January of next year it is purposed holding a grand bazaar and art union in aid of the Building Fund of the Catholic Church, and all interested are working heartily to make the event a huge success. «*-
