MERCER ROAD BOARD
At the last meeting there were present:—Messrs Martin (chairman), Valentino, Tregoweth, Hunter, Lincoln and Hallet (secretary). Drury Progressive League wrote asking board's support to request to have suburban area extended to Mercer.—Resolved to give the League all the support possible. A letter from Health Department regarding drainage at lower side of township.—Resolved to have report from engineer as to cost, etc. Street lighting.—Mr Valentine to enquire the cost of acetylene gas at Gallery's corner. Town Hall.—Resolved, That formalities required by Public Trustee be complied with, and work of erecting hall be proceeded with as soon as money is available.
