PUNI.

A very pleasant social and dance took place in the school recently, being got up for the purpose of a farewell to Mr and Mrs Win. Brown, who are leaving the district. About eighty turned up for the occasion. Mr W. PoMock, in making the presentation of a glalstone bag, umbrella, and a set of silver-backed military brushes to Mr Drown, also a handsome dressing box to Mrs Brown, referred to the loss the district was sustaining through Mr Brown's departure, not only as a good asset to the district, but also, a splendid neighbor and a good sport. Mr Brown suitably rep'ied, thanking tho donors. Songs were suug by Miss Chalmers, Mr Swainson, Mr 0. Gurnoy, and others. [This note, with some of the others in this column, was unfortunately crowded out of our Couu*y number.—Ed.]
