Soccer.

Te Aroha 4, N.Z. Perpetual Forests 3. During the week-end a Soccer match was staged in Putaruru, the teams being Te Aroha and N.Z. Perpetual Forests. The game proved very clean and even. Te Aroha arrived with two men short. These vacancies were filled by Kennedy, of Arapuni, and McMillan, of the N.Z.P.F. The former player proved to be the star player for Te Aroha, and was responsible for at least two of Te Aroha’s goals. Lush, Stark and Stirling were on top form for the Forestry. The first-named scored twice. The final scores were: Te Aroha 4, N.Z.P.F. 3. Mr. W. Alexander proved a very efficient referee.
