SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC.
Weather conditions could not have been bettered for the picnic held last Saturday on Mr. W. J. Baldwin’s property, Lichfield, by membei-s of the Anglican Church. The newly-formed company of Girl Guides were the guests of the day. An excellent programme of field events and games produced unlimited excitement and pleasure. The prizes for the winners of the married men’s and married women’s races were donated by Messrs. A. E. Barr Brown, J. H. Morris and J. Martin. Adding to the pleasure of the children was the presentation of a small prize. Following luncheon, Mr. J. Martin, on behalf of Rev. and Mrs. Wareing, asked euqh Sunday school teacher’s acceptance of a gift. An enjoyable day concluded witr Mr. Wareing expressing appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin for the use of the farm, to the ladies for providing lunch, and to all others who had lent their assistance.
