Garden fete planned. At 'a special meeting held .last week it was decided-to- run a garden fete as the annual effort on behalf °' f the church. Miss E. R. Alcorn explained the programme she had -arawn up in detail and was heartily for the trouble she had taken. Arrangements have also been made * to hold a moonlight motor picnic to Mr. Sneddon’s farm. A number of sub-committees were set up and the following convenors were appointed : Messrs. D. D. Sned-
don. (grounds), A. N. Scrivener (side shows), H. A. Ashworth (treasure hunt), A. R. VoSper (moonlight picnic), J. Baldwin (entertainments), J. S. Reid (parade), Mrs. S. G. Barnett (stalls), Miss E. R. Alcorn (advertising and judging). Quarterly Board, At the special meeting to consider transport in the circuit it was re- : 'ad that trie special fund amounted to about £SO and it was decided to purchase a ear for the use of the circuit. Mr. A. N. Scrivener was appointed to act and was thanked for the work he had already done.
