SHIPMENTS OF MEAT.
FROM SOUTH AMERICA. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has received a cable from its representative at Buenos Aires, America, advising the following shipments to the United Kingdom for the fortnight ended September 13, 1928, from Argentine and Uruguay:— 236,470 quarters chilled beef, 2025 Quarters frozen beef; 54,205 carcases frozen mutton, 92,286 carcases frozen lamb. The quantity shipped to the Continent of Europe during the same period was as follows: 54,494 quarters frozen beef, 2225 carcases frozen mutton, 20 carcases frozen lamb.
