Increased Advances.
FACTORY RETURNS. Figures for August. Increased supply over August, 1927, is noted in the monthly returns of factories operating in the Morrins- | yille district. Higher rates of paycut are also a feature, the most noteworthy being that of the Norfolk Company, whose advance for cheese is Is 9d per pound. In all cases this advance has made the total distributions to suppliers higher than in August, 1927. The figures are as follow, those of the corresponding month of 1927 being given in parentheses:— Morrinsville. Pounds of butterfat, 136,130.8 (106,026); payout (clear of cartage), Is sld (Is sd); total, £10,020 8s 3d (£7566 14s 8d). Tatua. Payout, Is 6d (Is sd); total, £4017 (£3423); distribution to date, £6139 [(£5062). Norfolk. Pounds of milk, 653,248 (570,773); test, 4.12 (4.12); pounds of butterfat, 26,954.6 (23,555.4); payout, Is 9d (Is 6d); total, £2358 8s 6d (£1766 15s 8d); distribution to date, £3472 [(£99B).
Sunny Park (Te Poi). Cheese.—Pounds of milk, 498,196 (205,141); test, 3.72 (3.85); pounds of butterfat, 18,531.3 (11,276.4); payout, Is 8d (Is sd); £1544 5s (£798 13s lid). Butter.—Pounds of cream, 24,566 (21,811); test, 40.79 (41.74); pounds of butterfat, 10,021 (9103.9); pounds of milk, butterfat from milk, out, Is 6d (Is sd); total distribution, £Bl5 5s 6d (£lOl3 4s); advances to date, £2359 (£1812).
