ON THE SCREEN
ARAPUNI PICTURE PALACE. In continuation of the progressive policy adopted by this theatre two more splendid picture programmes direct from Auckland are announced for this week. “ The Fire Brigade ” and “ Shanghai Bound ” are far, far better pictures than their titles might suggest, and therefore patrons should bear this in mind and book their seats as usual. The usual extras of gazette, news and screen snips will also be shown. AT PUTARURU. “ Mother Machree,’ now drawing crowded houses in Auckland, comes direct to Putaruru on July 14. Founded on the song of the same name, the story is as tender as the song which suggests it. A wonderful cast and splendid acting make it an unforgettable film. No film fan should miss this great story. RANDELL’S CIRCUIT. A big special, “ Men of Steel,” is advertised for Tokoroa for next Saturday. The leading part is taken by William Duncan, a well-and-favour-ably-known actor, and the film has proved a big draw in other parts. This picture has been specially procured for Tokoroa by Messrs. Randell and Company and there will be no increase in price. Patrons are ad- \ vised to book their seats if they cannot be on time.
