Mr. J. Pennington, of the Patetere third team, sustained a broken wrist in a match at Matamata and will be unable to attend to his duties in the Tirau post office for some weeks. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Most of the 27 animals acquired are young, with good records behind them, and are in calf to fashionable bulls. K.C.8., Lord Twylish, Roberts and* Campanile Sultan blood is predominant. The cattle will be sent out to Messrs. Rose and Rutledge’s farm, which it is intended shall become a stud Jersey farm.
