Messrs. Dalgety and Company Ltd. report having received the following cablegram from their London house dated the 16th instant:— Butter.—The market is quiet. New Zealand finest salted 162 s to 164 s ; Danish 183 s to 184 s ; Australian, finest unsalted 158 s to 160 s, finest salted 156 s to 160 s, G.A.Q. 150 s to 1525. Cheese.—New Zealand, white 94s to 955, coloured 94s to 95s ; Canadian, white 100 s to 104 s, coloured 100 s to 104 s ; Australian, white 92s to 935, coloured 92s to 935. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom last month were 527,000 cwt, as compared with 476,000ewt for the corresponding period of last year.
