Dalgety and Company Ltd. report having received the following cablegram relating to the Home meat market on the lGth instant:— Frozen Meat.—New Zealand prime lamb : Canterbury, 281 b to 361 b 105 d, 361 b to 421 b lO’.d, 421 b to 501 b lOid, second quality 9ld ; North Island, 281 b to 361 b 93d, 361 b to 421 b 93d, second quality 83d. The market for New Zealand lamb is tending downwards. The demand runs principally on heavyweights. New Zealand prime North Island mutton : 4Slb to 561 b 7d, 561 b to 641 b 61d, 641 b to 721 b s.'id. The market for New Zealand I mutton is firm owing to light stocks. The demand runs principally on lightweights. Argentine Chilled Beef. Hinds sid, fores 32d. The market for New Zealand beef is nominal. Australian Lamb.—G.A.Q. 281 b to 361 b 9d ; third quality 6d. The market for Australian lamb is unchanged. The demand is limited. Australian Mutton.—F.A.Q. 301 b to 551 b sd. The market for Australian mutton is weak. The demand is poor. Pork.—English pork, SOlb to 1001 b 9id ; N.Z. porkers, SOlb to 1001 b 7d, 1001 bto 1201 b 6ld ; N.Z. baconers, 1201 b to 1701 b old.
