The New Zealand Meat Producers Board has received the following cable from its London office, dated February 3, 1928, advising Smithfield delivered prices at that date as follow: N.Z. Wethers and Maidens.—Canterbury quality, selected brands (old season), 561 b and under 6id, 571 b to 641 b 6d, 651 b to 721 b aid ; other brands (new season), 561 b and under 6sd, 571 b to 641 b 6d, 651 b to 721 b sid. N.Z. Lambs.—Selected brands (new season), 361 b and under lOgd, 371 b to 421 b 103 d ; other brands : first quality (new season), 361 b and under 9£d, 371 b to 421 b lOd ; second quality (new season), 301 b to 321 b average, 9id. Australian Lambs.—Victorian, first quality, 361 b and under 9d. Argentine Lambs.—First quality, 361 b and under 75d, 371 b to 421 b 75dN.Z. Beef.—Ox fores 33d, ox hinds sd, cow fores 3 id, cow hinds 4d. Argentine Chilled Beef.—Ox fores 4id, ox hinds 63d. Argentine Frozen Beef.—Ox fores . 33d, ox hinds sgd. Frozen Pork.—Porkers, 601 b to 801 b 7id, 811 b to 991 b 7d, 1001 b to 1201 b 63d ; baconers, 1211 b to 1801 b 63d.
