PUTARURU GLEE CLUB.
i FUTURE OPERATIONS. A committee meeting of the Putaruru Glee Club was held last Thursday, Miss Alcorn presiding. , Arrangements for the Christmas concert, to be held to-morrow, were finalised. During the evening the finances of the club were discussed, and attention was drawn to the fact that during this year’s operations no attempts had been made to augment the society’s funds. The forthcoming concert was in aid of the Salvation Army Training Farm Christmas tree funds, and it was ultimately decided to hold a dance after the concert and to devote the proceeds from the latter to the club funds. The secretary and treasurer were instructed to draw up reports for submission to the annual meeting to be called in March. Opportunity will then be given to new comers to the district to become honorary members, the only subscription for which will be 2s 6d. In view of the fact that the club is now in its sixth year it was decided that the next entertainment to be organised shall be in the form of a huge birthday party to which all members and friends will be invited.
