DANCE.
ORCHESTRA’S DEBUT. In order to provide entertainment for the men of the camps the Recreation Hall Committee decided to hold frequent dances and the first of these j was held on Friday. The arrange- I ments for the dance were in the hands J of a sub-committee consisting of! Messrs. McNally, Watson and PucTney I and everything went off very smoothly. It was the first appearance in j Arapuni of the new orchestra, which ; has lately been formed and the music [ left nothing to be desired. The violinist, Mr. Graham, who has recently arrived at Arapuni received a great ovation and everyone present was more than satisfied with the combined efforts of Perrins (piano), Graham (violin), Edwards (cornet) and Kelly (drums). .An innovation made at this dance was the introduction of the cabaret supper, which, was served in the buffet.
