SOCIAL EVENING.
TO CHURCH WORKERS. Last Friday evening a very pleasant function took place in the J Recreation Kali, Arapuni, when a j dinner was given by Mr. A. E. Miller j to those men who so ably assisted him [ in thfe building of the Anglican Church. About 30 guests were pre- ' sent and a most enjoyable time was spent by all. After dinner the gathering' was entertained by Messrs. Perrins and Graham, piano and violin respectively, and Mr. Carter rendered a vocal item. Some very spirited sets of deck tennis and quoits were indulged in and the evening was brought to a close about 11 p.m. Mr. Martin and Mr. Rabone both made mention of the splendid work done by the band of workers and also complimented Mr. Miller on I the manner in which the building- of the church had been carried out.
