Also, a canteen store at each place was noticed, in addition to the cookhouses and single-men’s barracks, which have been completed for some time. 3B
In the permanent village the erection of_ the houses for the staff appeared to he making rapid progress, while the Arapuni school appeared to be completed, with the exception of ornamental railings round the grounds, on which the contractor for the school was then engaged. Water supply, electricity reticulation, and drainage systems were also in evidence, giving promise of satisfactory sanitation and healthful livin'
