THE PUTARURU DOMAIN.

MEETING OF THE BOARD. A meeting of the Putaruru Domain Board was held some days ago, when there were present: Messrs. F. C. Barnett (in the chair), A. R. Vosper, J. R. O. Lochhead and H. J. W. Scott. It was reported that the Crown Lands inspector had recently inspected the Domain plantation and had intimated that he approved of the clearing of the Lichfield road frontage to a full chain in depth, this benefiting the road by allowing the sun to penetrate to it and the timber obtained forming a source of revenue for the board.—lt was resolved to have the clearing done. The board has given *its attention to the matter of putting the fences round the Domain in repair, and a new entrance gate has been erected on the Lichfield road frontage.
