TOKOROA.
THE HOUSEHOLDERS’ MEETING. The Tokoroa householders’ meeting was duly held in the school on Ul4 14tli inst. There was a large gathering present. In the absence of the chairman, Mr. E. McHale, who was unable to be present, Mr. Hamilton took the cfiair. Remarking on the year’s work of the outgoing committee Mr. Hamilton said that everything had gone smoothly in connection with the school, there being no complaints, and he was very pleased to inform those present that the school fund had £25 to its credit. Mr. Chandler said that great credit was due to Mr. Hamilton for the way he had come forward with his liberal donations and assistance with everything in connection with the school. He also said that he was sorry that! Mr. McHale was unable to be present,} as he had been a willing worker and had the welfare of the children and everything- in connection with the school very much at heart. He also spoke in appreciation of the work of the teacher, Mrs. Dyer.
