PUKETURUA-ARAPUNI.

A very successful 'concert and dance, held under the auspices- of the Puketurua Tennis Club and arranged mostly by Mr. J. Hinton, was held in r the Puketurua school on Friday evening. Ittms were given by the following artists: Mrs. Pearson, Miss R. McGowan, Master Keith. Pearson, Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay, and Messrs. Paterson, Tiers, Barry, F. Peters, Treanor and Dunn. Supper, served by the ladies, followed the concert, after which dancing was indulged in. The proceeds were for improving the tennis courts against the school and amounted to the very gratifying sum of £5.
