Ho rtjuiced that Austria hail taken the lead in endeavoring to preserve the freedom and autonomy of the countries of the Bulk ah Peninsula. Some of the Great powers were inclined to be contentious and others were anxious for maintenance of peace. If oowia'llid to choose, England would sympathise with Bulgaria, and England's adhesion would probably serve to avert war. October 8. The difference between General Kanlbors and the Regency of Bulgaria is relaxing, and both parties are moderating as to tho terms of agreement. it is believed that Austria will only fight if Bulgaria resists. Som, Octobor 1. Tho Regency has issued a proclamation abolishing tho state of siege in Bulgurta. which was declared after the coup d'etat in August. Parleying in now proceeding between the Regents and the Russian Agent, with a view to Russia being induced to modify her demands in regard to 11.0 future government of this country.
