With regard to the Master's suggestion, ] ro closing school, it was decided, after I consideration, not to commence the holidays until the work of building was fairly started, so that no unnecessary time might be lost. Members also expressed a hni>e that the contractor would not delaytile work. ASSISTANT TEACHER. Agreed to notify the Board of the Master's suggestion. ABSENT MEMBER. On the motion of Mr Birnie, seconded by Mr Sedcole, it was resolved that the Chairman ascertain from Mr Hewlett whether it is his intention to attend the meetings of Committee; if not his scat will bo declared vacant. It was also agreed to comply with the Act in future, and notify each member bywriting of meetings. Accounts were passed for payment and the meeting adjourned.
