A telegram from Whangarei relative to the first Puhipuhi crushing says that general stuff from the Prospector is giving 620 z to the ton, and shareholders are well’ satisfied. Scrip, which have been selling at 2a, aye now worth ss. Taking shares all round the field they have doubled in value within the last fortnight.
The following are the Reefton battery returns for the last week:—Energy (tribute), 6750 z of amalgam from 262 tons; Globe, 1,0580 z of amalgam from 190 tons. A dividend of Is per share has been declared in the latter Company.
