Town Hall Enlargement.
In answer to a letter sent by the Committee to the Town Board, conveying certain resolutions which have already appeared in the Guardian, a communication was received to the following effect: That the Board heartily approve of the resolutions passed by the Committee for raising funds towards alterations of the Town Hall, and as soon as some definite results are assured the Board will be quite willing to assist the undertaking, and, in the meantime, a new floor will be laid down.
At a meeting of the Committee held on Wednesday evening Dr Drury and Mr Cooper were added to the Committee, and it was proposed to hold a ball on the 23rd instant, full particulars of which will be notified in a future issue.
