Arrest of an ex-Clergyman.

[Own Correspondent.] Auckland, November 20. The Rev. Abraham Ridings, late Congregational minister at Maungaturoto, Kaipara, was arrested last night on board the Tarawera just as she was starting for Sydney, on a charge of indecently assaulting a boy named .William Chadwin on the 3rd inst. The arrest was made on the information of the Kaipara police. Accused was much affected and requested permission to take a Bible to the cell with him. He had resigned his charge.
