Testimonial to Mr. Montgomery.
[Own Correspondent.] Wellington, November 8. A testimonial, signed by about 50 members of both political parties, is about to be presented to Mr. Montgomery, who left Wellington a few days ago, en route for England. Among the signatures are those of Sir Julius Vogel, Major Atkinson, Messrs. Stout, Macandrew, Ballance, Peacock, etc. The testimonial, which is tastefully designed and executed, will be forwarded to Mr. Montgomery by the first southern steamer. He leaves by the next ’Frisco steamer, and intends to return if possible in time for the next session of Parliament.
