The Stabbing Case.
[Own Correspondent.] Christchurch, October 21. Patrick McCarthy, a sailor of the American barque H. J. Libby, was charged yesterday at the Lyttleton R.M. Court with stabbing Capt. Richardson, and was remanded till Friday, so that the American Consul may be communicated with. McCarthy stated, through his solicitor, his intention to institute proceedings against the captain and mate for attempting to murder him.
