[Per United Press Association.] Auckland, October 13. At a meeting at Kamo re the Whangarei Kamo, and Kawakawa railway, resolutions were carried urging Government to construct the line from the present terminus to the deep water at Grahamstown, and from the coal mine at Kamo to Puhipuhi bush. Mr. Cussen has come into Kihikihi from the King country, having completed the triangulation survey connecting the Taupo country with Kihikihi, the starting point. This week Mr. Cusson proceeds to the Mokau district, to carry out a triangulation survey there. Wanganui, October 13. The Alexandra Cavalry completed their annual six days’ training on Saturday, the full compliment of 63 men being on parade. Major Stapp complimented the officers and men on their efficiency.
Napier, October 13. Mr. Thomas Bracken, late M.H.R. for Dunedin Central, will give a series of lectures here in about three weeks’ time.
