The Synod Meeting. [Own Correspondent.] Napier, October 1. At the sitting of the Synod last evening a vote of thanks was passed to the Rev. J. E. Fox, of Gisborne, for the sermon he preached on Monday evening. A committee was appointed to enquire into the means adopted in the diocese for impartreligious instruction to the young. A committee was also appointed to consider the position and prospects of the diocesan fund.
