(Per Press Association.) Auckland, October 1. David Alexander Evans (or Hopkins, which is said to be his real name), who recently attempted suicide by cutting his throat at Burnand’s boarding-house, in Wyndham street, died in the hospital last night of the ’•(juries received. Wanganui, October 1. The Supreme Court »vas occupied all yesterday with a libel action, Russell v. McKelvie and McMunn. The case is still proceeding.
