The Missing Prospector.
FINDING OF THE BODY. [Per Press Association.) Nelson, September 19. Some two months ago George Moonlight was reported as being, lost in the neighbourhood of Kerr’s station, Lake Rowitea. Search parlies have been out there since and yesterday the remains were found. The body was lying on the left side and was in a fair state of preservation, except that a little of the face was gone. Deceased appeared to have dropped on the track, and after a short struggle, had rolled off. The body had the appearance of having dropped from exhaustion. The place where it was found was about seven miles from Edgers’ accommodation house, and about three miles from the nearesr point where the main road can be struck. Young Moonlight believes his father knew where he was, and was endeavoring to come out at Edgars’ when his strength failed. An inquest will be held.
