Small-Pox.

THE WAIHORA IN QUARANTINE. [Per Press Association.] Auckland, August 6. The Waihora will be detained for a fort* night in quarantine, and if no further case breaks out she will then be released. The crew and passengers have been landed at the Quarantine Station. Dunedin, August 6. It is stated that Mouat, who has small-pox at Napier, has a wife and family at Port Chalmers, and that he spent the night with them when the Waihora was in port. It is suggested that the Port Chalmers Corporation should take necessary precautions. Christchurch, August 6. Several nurses at the hospital have been re-vaccinated. The Mayor, with the Health Officer, is endeavoring to secure the use of an isolated building where small-pox cases may be treated.
