Caswell Sound Marble Co.
[Per Press Association.] Wellington, August 2. At the annual meeting of the shareholders of the Caswell Sound Marble Company, all the reports from the quarries spoke in most hopeful terms respecting the quantity and quality of marble at the Sound. With regard to finances the Company owed the bank £872, and sundry creditors £110; together, £982. A call, due on the 29th July, has been levied. There are bills payable to the amount of £621 on property account, and these, together with a further sum of £3OO, will mature in October. This amount is all that will be required to pay off property at present. A balance of £21,000 will remain on mortgage at 6 per cent, for five years.
