ATTACK ON SOUAKIM. ENEMY REPULSED WITH HEAVY LOSS BY BRITISH TROOPS. TROOPS SUFFERING FROM HEAT. [Reuters Telegrams.] London, August 1. Telegrams from Souakim state that the town was attacked yesterday by a strong force of rebels, who have been gathering in the neighbourhood for some days past. The attack was repulsed by the British troops stationed at Souakim, and the enemy suffered heavily. The weather is now extremely hot, and the troops are suffering severely from its effects, a considerable number being in hospital from sunstroke.
