Small-Pox Prevention.
[Per Press Association.] Wellington, August 2. The small-pox question is still under consideration of the Government, 'While using efforts to prevent the introduction of the disease into this colony, the Government are endeavoring as much as possible not to interfere with the shipping trade. Dr. Hector has reported what, in his opinion, would be the best preventitive means, and it is understood that, as his method may not be perfectly legal, it has been handed to the Solicitor-General for his opinion. The result will probably be made known tomorrow.
