Collision and Foundering of a Ship.
[reuter’s telegrams.] Brisbane, July 21. The barque Vanguard, 688 tons, which has arrived here from London, reports that on the 11th instant she came into collision with the barque Farningham, 281 tons, bound from Port Chalmers to Adelaide, while off Tasmania. The Farningham suffered severely and sank in five minutes. All on board were saved except three seamen, who were below and could not be rescued by the Vanguard. The latter vessel was somewhat damaged, but able to reach this port in safety.
