[Reuter’s Telegrams.] St. Petersburg, July 2. The death is announced of General Francis Edward Todlcben, the celebrated Russian military engineer. EGYPTIAN AFFAIRS. London, July 3. The Egyptian Conference continued it deliberations to-day. Mr. Edgar Vincent-, Financial adviser to the Khedive, recoin* mended that the taxes now levied on Egypt should be largely reduced. The cargo of frozen mutton ex steamship Liguria, comprising 5,459 carcases from Melbourne and Sydney, has been sold at sd. per lb. The meat was in good condition. THE CHOLERA. Paris, July 2. No fresh outbreak of cholera has occurred, and it is believed that the precautions which have been taken will prevent the further spread of the disease. Several deaths, are, however, reported daily at Toulon and Marseilles.
