[by electric telegraph—copyright.] [Reuter’s Telegrams.] Adelaide, Feb. 4. Wheat is quoted at 4s—nominal, country flour has declined to £8 to £8 10s. per ton. Melbourne, Feb. 4. The Melbourne office of the London Chartered Bank of Australia states that according to London advices the Bank’s losses by the defalcations of Thomas and Sons will not exceed £20,000 more than is covered by the reserve fund, which is invested in consols, apart from the ordinary business.
