NATIVE LAND COURT.
In the Native Land Court yesterday morning W. Te Paetarewa applied to have his interest in the Wuimata Erst Block cut out by the Court. The applicant stated that he had signed a certain document purporting to be a lease of the block to the Land Company, but he had afterwards ascertained that the Company claimed his share. The only payment made to him was two pounds. The area of the block was about five thousand acres He had written to Vlr De Lautour on the subject, but nothing definite had been done, therefore the present application for individualisation. His Honor referred to the proceedings taken at former sittings of the Court, and pointed out that no objection had been made to the Company’s application f<>r an order for freehold tenure for the land. ■ ft was cherefore too Jate now for the Court I to deal with subdivision or the objec- , tions raised. 1
