THE MARINER'S COMPASS.
Thkkx was a fair attendance at Parnell and Boylan'* Hall last evening to witn**» th* production of Mr Neville Thornton’* dramatised version of the well-known novel " The Mariner's Compass.” The scenery, which ha* been specially painted for the oeeaaion, is not by any means the least feature of th* performance, and the stage effects, notably that of the Aurora Borealis and the working wheel, were admirably carried out. The various ladies and gentiemen who took part gaVe evidence that they had carefully studied their parts, and had determined to make the entertainment a decided suecess. To-night the performance will be repeated, and no doubt even more successfully than last evening. The object is an excellent one, and we shall expect to see a bumper house.
