Le Neve Forster, managing director of the Pyramid Electric Company, The motor is worked from a dynamo at the surface, the wires being taken down the shaft and along the workings for a distance of 500 yards. • The total vertical lift of the electricallydriven pumps is 115 feet, and the water is forced through pipes 500 yards in length to the bottom of the shaft, whence it is lifted by ordinary steam-pumps.
